 New stretch target

Oh wow. We hit the first target in an afternoon. You people ❤️❤️

Setting  a stretch target in the hope we can do even more to support a wider group of emerging leaders.

The photo above is of the inaugural cohort of Labour Launchpad interns. They absolutely transformed our Labour campaign here in Midlothian and they won a national Labour Party best practice award to boot!

Our paid internship gives next generation Labour talent on-the-job organising training and access to a world-class political education programme.

Applications for this year's programme opened today. The more money we raise, the more people we can offer this opportunity to. The more people we train, the stronger our movement.

As I think you know, we believe that knowledge is power so we are obsessed with training here in Midlothian Labour.

This photo is from our first Train, Campaign, Labour Gain! session, for Labour women. Funding from our supporters made this possible. YOU made this possible.

Everything we do in this campaign is based on three mottos.

1) Make it fun

2) Test everything

3) Build leaders

Our local campaign team can take care of the first two but we need your help with the third.

I've never forgotten the people who gave me my 'political apprenticeship', the folk who helped me to learn how campaigning could make things better for the people and places we love. You probably haven't either.

This is a chance to pay it forward: backing the power and potential of people ready to make a difference.

All they need is a bit of help from all of us. I'd be so grateful for any support you felt able to give.
