Running your project

Spread the word and get your crowd excited. Connect with people who care about your project and tell them why it’s worth supporting.

Launch your project

When you’ve completed your project page, give it one final look over and ask a friend to do the same. Once you’re happy with it, you can move onto getting ready to launch.

We know that launching your Crowdfunder project can feel a little daunting, so we created this launch checklist to help give you the confidence to go live. Make sure you tick everything off to give your project the strongest start.

It’s a good idea to find a handful of people that are happy to make a pledge on the first day. This will get your project out of the starting gates and encourage others to follow suit.

Spread the word

When it comes to this method of fundraising, you need to be prepared to shout from the rooftops and tell anyone who will listen about your project. To be successful, you really do need to make sure as many people in your audience hear about what you’re doing. That can sound daunting, but by using a rich variety of content you can reach more people and keep them engaged.

You can do this through social media, email, press, word of mouth, and any other way you can think of.  Nothing is too out of the box when it comes to marketing something you believe in!

Connect with supporters

Part of the crowdfunding journey involves connecting with your supporters and keeping them updated throughout the whole process. This is vital in creating noise and boosting the amount people are likely to pledge.

You can use your updates section for a number of things. You can celebrate your milestones, champion new rewards, and give validity to what you’re doing. Plus, by keeping everyone updated you can encourage them to pledge multiple times!
